"Regional Development" Cooperation With Kosovo

A cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Regional Development of the Republic of Kosovo. Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Kosovo Fikrim Damka signed the protocol at a ceremony held in Bursa. With the protocol, a joint working group will be established in the field of regional development, expert exchange programs will be implemented and joint projects will be carried out between technoparks.
REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony held at Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center, Minister of Industry and Technology Varank stated that they continue their joint efforts for Kosovo to reach the position it deserves in the international arena and said, "We support Kosovo's vision of NATO, Council of Europe and European Union membership. Kosovo's peace and prosperity also means the stability of the Balkans and Europe. We have a very intense work in the field of regional development both at the table and in the field. As a ministry, we would like to share and multiply the experience we have gained in the field of regional development, strengthen communication between stakeholders and open new doors of cooperation."
JOINT WORKING GROUP
Varank stated that within the scope of the agreement to be signed with Kosovo, first of all, a joint working group will be formed in the field of regional development, they will share knowledge, experience and good practices with their Kosovar counterparts, and they will initiate joint project development and expert exchange programs.
INCREASING ITS PROSPERITY
Explaining that they will develop joint projects between Technoparks, R&D and innovation centers, Varank said, "We will continue to implement valuable projects that will increase the prosperity of our Kosovar brothers and sisters. On this occasion, I wish that the memorandum of understanding we will sign will be beneficial and auspicious for our countries."
IT WILL BE TAKEN TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Kosovo Damka reminded that Turkey was the first country to recognize Kosovo's independence. Damka thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in this context and said, "This bilateral agreement is a text of an agreement that will help the development of Kosovo, the establishment of industrial zones in Kosovo, the establishment of Technoparks and TEKMERs, KOSGEB and other areas to develop cooperation and help Kosovo develop in a more prosperous way. I hope that with this agreement text, this cooperation between both countries will rise to a higher level."
TURKEY IS OUR MOTHERLAND
Emphasizing that the Republic of Turkey supports Kosovo in many areas, Damka said: "For a stable Balkans, of course, a strong Turkey is needed. Thanks to this strong Turkey, today the Balkans are more stable, more prosperous and more developed. Therefore, if Kosovo is our homeland for us, Turkey is our motherland."
