Where is Misi village and in which province is it located?
Misi Village, located just a few kilometers from the center within the borders of Bursa province, has a historical and cultural background of 2000 years. It is estimated that Misi Village, which is connected to Nilüfer District under the name Gümüştepe Neighborhood, is a very old settlement.
It is believed by historians that the first name of Misi Village was Mysia. Historians state that in 183 A.D., a monk named Alex settled in the villages of Inkaya and Misi as the pioneers of Christians with a group of eighty-five people, and that there are historical records that the "consul" gathered and discussed the Bible. It is believed by the people that a copy of the Bible is buried in this region around the monastery, whose ruins can be found today.
These ruins are therefore of great importance for Christians. Misi Village, which is 12 km away from the center and fascinates visitors with its natural beauty and naturalness, is very famous for its vine leaves, muscat grapes, molasses and wine.
"Misi Wine" is produced only from the musket grapes that grow in this region and have a special aroma. It is also known that the molasses made with these grapes is very healthy.
Gümüştepe Neighborhood's source of income, other than wine, is the café-meat-barbecue style venues created in touch with nature by the stream. Bursa residents and tourists show great interest in these cafes and barbecue-style places where they host their guests who have breakfast with their families at the tables set up in the breakfast stream on weekends.
It almost offers meditation to its guests with the harmony of the sounds created by the water, birds and the wind blowing in the trees alone with nature. The favorite place of Misi Village, which attracts the most attention of guests and tourists, is the Silver Valley. With its naturalness and the services it offers, it continues to be one of the places that best appeals to the palate of its customers.
