Entrepreneur Elif Avanoğlu, who quit her job and started her own business, can no longer keep up with the demand for her local and geographically marked products.
Elif Avanoğlu, 45, who lives in Kastamonu, decided to quit her job and start her own business. Avanoğlu started to sell geographically marked products she produced from the plants she grew on social media. Avanoğlu, who opened her own workplace in Munıre Madrasah Craft Bazaar in Kastamonu city center upon increasing demand for her products day by day, packs natural and Kastamonu-specific local products such as einkorn wheat and tarhana and delivers them to her customers. The products produced by Avanoğlu, who established her own brand, attract great interest.
"I DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO KASTAMONU REGION"
Stating that the products she sells are completely natural, Avanoğlu said, "I have a small shop in Kastamonu city center. I sell Kastamonu's natural products here. I sell the products I produce myself as much as possible. I worked in some workplaces before, but then I said 'I should start my own business'. When einkorn wheat came to the agenda, we planted einkorn wheat in our fields. I processed them into bulgur and flour with natural methods and started to sell them at home first. When I started to reach customers on the internet site and reached a certain customer base, I wanted to have my own workplace. I opened a shop here in the madrasah. When I opened the shop, I started to produce more products. I produce einkorn wheat and tarhana with natural methods unique to Kastamonu. I sell all geographically marked products. I do not use any products that do not belong to Kastamonu region."
Şura Eyri, who shopped at Avanoğlu's shop, said, "I come from Istanbul. When I enter Kastamonu and this madrasah, this is one of the shops I visit. I pay attention to my nutrition. That's why I like the einkorn wheat products here very much, I can find natural products. It is a little difficult to find such organic products in Istanbul."
